RECORDING | Landscape Drawing on Zoom - Drawing on Collaged Paper

£15.00

This is the recording of a Zoom Drawing session that took place on 18th March 2025. Once you have purchased the Recording a link will be sent to you by email within 24 hours and you have access to it for 3 months.

Details of the original session:

This recording is 90 minutes, of which around half is discussion and demonstrations and the other half will be spent drawing quietly together doing exercises from the images provided.

For this session on Collaged Paper we will be using layered paper to create texture and interest to introduce an element of accident and surprise to our mark making. We will be spending some of the session talking about how to create paper to work from and half of the session then drawing so consider how you would like to divide your time. You may wish to have some collaged paper in advance that is dry enough to draw on or you may wish to watch first and then draw later when you have had time to create your own collages.

It would definitely be helpful to gather a small collection of papers that interest you such as magazine cuttings, old recipes, wrapping paper, sewing patterns, grid paper, torn up packaging, outdated maps, found book covers or old paintings and drawings you don’t want to keep. I do not recommend PVA glue (it yellows and peels) but rather matt acrylic medium or photo spray mount for a flat, clean adhesion. There is no need to buy anything in advance, rather watch the session and then spend your money wisely when you know what you want.

Any drawing materials you enjoy are fine for the drawing section. Any questions please email me at art@bethanykohrt.com! Thanks and see you then.
