Wings, Craniums and Pecans

Noticing the recurring patterns in the natural world, reciprocity and kindness in the Earth. Brutal, honest and meaningful kindness. I disliked the term Radical Kindness, it sounds exactly like the sentimentalised, self serving ‘kindness’ I have come to abhor; I wonder if Brutal Kindness is closer. I have long considered myself a Compassionate Stoic so maybe a similar hybrid of tolerance and reciprocity combined with honesty and assiduity might sit harmoniously in parallel. Networks also speak beautifully to the idea of hives and systems over individuality and our culture’s obsession with exceptionalism. I love these shapes they speak to so many things, I also noticed they looked like the pecans in my breakfast cereal. If wings, craniums and pecans can be cousins maybe humans can learn to be too.
